We aim to structure classes around the needs of the dogs and handlers, and split our groups by ability, spending time with everyone, focusing on where you and your dog need to be, whether we are looking at basics, intermediate, or more advanced work. We are always looking for the latest and best methods for you to get the most out of your training and are proud to offer the use of the “Aimcam” during your lesson so that you can watch and discuss the footage of your dog back over a cuppa or, indeed, watch yourself as handler from our view in order to get the most out of your time with us. Please contact us about any of our training so we can advise you which sessions would be most beneficial to you and your dog.

Residential Training is a core part of our business and as such it is important we establish your sensible aims and desires, we then agree a programme going forward providing regular reports and video footage of your dogs progress. Upon collecting your dog it is very important to us that we spend time with you, helping you both develop the skills you need to successfully work and develop your partnership with your shooting companion. We therefore provide, as part of your residential fee, a number of private 1-2-1 lessons to embed the progress made in you and your dog. Charges start at £20.00 per day boarding.

Picking up forms a huge part of our lives and this comes from our passion and dedication of training our dogs which we look to pass to our clients. During the season we will both pick up on average over 100 days each working teams of from 2 to 6 dogs each. We both work a mixture of Labradors, Cockers and Springer Spaniels (but mainly springers) depending on the terrain and the expected bag size. Each dog we own has its own personality and has its own role within the team. We work each dog to its particular strengths in order to do our job as efficiently as possible.
